Fruity Oat Breakfast Pot Recipe

When it comes to breakfast, just 5 minutes of prep the night before will set you up for a delicious and satisfying start to your day. Plain rolled oats are inexpensive and hugely nourishing… jazz them up with fruit and a sprinkle of nuts and you’ve got yourself a powerhouse breakfast to get you through the morning!

This is an all-in-one method to save you time but if you prefer, you can add the grated or chopped fruit in the morning or just before you tuck into your delicious oats.


Per person:

The base ingredients:

1 cup or 1/2 a mug of Rolled oats or muesli of your choice 

1 cup or 1/2 a mug of milk of your choice, we use coconut milk or almond milk

1 pear or apple, grated


Optional extras:

1 small handful of chopped nuts or seeds

1 tbsp chopped dried fruit like apricots, sultanas or dates

1 tbsp desiccated coconut


Optional seasonings:

1/4 tsp cinnamon or mixed spice

1/2 thumb sized piece of fresh ginger

1/2 tsp cacao powder


A little of something sweet:

1 tsp vegan Honae

1 tsp maple syrup

1 tsp coconut syrup



1. In a Tupperware, glass jar or bowl mix together all the base ingredients - the rolled oats, nut milk and grated fruit.

2. Add one of the optional extras, one of the seasonal extras to the oats and your choice of ‘A little of something sweet’. Mix together thoroughly and cover with a lid.


The next morning:

Enjoy your oats at home or on the go… they're delicious chilled or if your prefer them hot, simply warm in the microwave for 2 - 3 minutes in the microwave.
