Oven Roast Sweet Potato Fries Recipe

Oven Roast Sweet Potato Fries Recipe

Who doesn’t love chips?!

Sweet potato chips and fries have become mainstream as our beloved traditional version and it’s super simple to make your own. The lovely sweet flavour of sweet potato makes a really good base flavour for spices so we love coating them in whatever spice mix goes with the other dishes we want to serve… from Cajun, Creole and Chinese 5 spice to Tex Mex, Moroccan or Garham Masala - anything works! Be inventive!

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

2/3  large sweet potatoes washed, dried & sliced lengthways chip shape - keeping the skin on

2 tbsp olive oil

Good pinch of sea salt

A generous amount of grated non dairy hard cheese - we recommend Kinda co Italian or Violife Mediterranean block.

LET’S COOK:

1. Pre heat your oven to 200c Gas mark 6

2. Tumble your sweet potatoes onto a shallow baking tray.

3. Drizzle over your olive oil, sprinkle with a good pinch of salt.

4. Toss these well so they are all coated.

5. Pop into the oven for 35/40 minutes

6. Remove and add your cheese, give them a good shake and put hem back into the oven & cook for another 5 minutes or until golden and crispy.

Take out from the oven and dunk into your chosen dip!
